Jidel Judo 93 and CRY (Cardiac Risk in Young)
Jidel Judo 93 and CRY join forces to participate in a sponsored walk across the Forth Road Bridge in memory of Stuart Cutler a fellow Jidelian’s who sadly passed away due to sudden cardiac arrest. This walk was to help raise important funds for a mobile heart screening unit to be brought to Scotland to screen Secondary School pupils (West Calder High School where Stuart attended).
On a beautiful Sunday morning some of Jidel players and coaches met with Stuarts mum Natalie and dad David along with some more members of CRY who also have lost loved ones, at the Forth Road Bridge car park.
It was a fantastic feeling being able to help out in a small way for such a good cause, James Carty ran across and back 3 times and Emma Imrie- Herd ran across and back once, the rest of us just had a leisurely walk. It was lovely to walk and talk to some of the other families. There were cars honking in support and waving to us as we walked in was a great experience.
Thank you to Katherine ,Gordon, Jack, Jacks mum and dad and little brother, Charlie and Colin, Anna, Fern, Anna’s mum and dad , Storm, Tomi, David and of course Arianna for having a stroll with us.
So far we have raised an impressive £740.00 with monies still to come in. Jidelians you are amazing, if you would like to show your support and donate just hand in your donation to one of the Jidel coaches or log on to the just giving page
